Alumni Spotlight: Bhuvanesh Rajagopal

Meet Bhuvanesh Rajagopal, an alumnus of IB Sports Academy and currently a B.Sc Electrical Engineering student at Iowa State University, USA.
Reflecting on his journey, Bhuvanesh credits Coach Ishwar Bhati for developing his strong foundation: ‘His attention to detail helped me find mistakes and correct them. Ishwar sir focuses on the fundamentals—the most important part of the game.’
Beyond the court, Bhuvanesh emphasizes how basketball taught him time management and the ‘student-athlete’ balance required to succeed in high-level engineering. ‘There is no replacement for hard work, and playing sports helped me bring that relentlessness into my studies.’
