Basketball Beyond Borders: USA x India
On 3rd October 2025, IB Sports Foundation and IB Sports Academy hosted an unforgettable day of hoops and mentorship with Hassan El-Saddique. A former professional player who competed at the highest levels in Argentina, Hassan brought his explosive energy and deep knowledge of the game to our athletes in New Delhi.
This collaboration was a celebration of pure basketball. Through high-intensity drills and personal stories of the “pro grind,” Hassan inspired our young ballers to understand that basketball isn’t just a game, it’s a path to global opportunity and personal growth.
Elite Skills & Mentorship
The Masterclass moved quickly from talk to action. Hassan took the lead on the court, guiding students through professional-grade drills that focused on:
- Scoring Mechanics: Precision finishing at the rim and shooting under pressure.
- Game Intensity: Maintaining focus and energy throughout a full session.
- Professional Discipline: The mindset required to transition from a student-athlete to the professional stage.
Power of Inclusion
One of the most impactful segments of the day was Hassan’s interaction with the athletes from Special Olympics Bharat. This session underscored the IB Sports Foundation’s mission: ensuring every child, regardless of ability, has access to world-class inspiration. The joy and teamwork on display proved that the spirit of basketball truly knows no boundaries.
