A Champion’s Welcome
The court at ITL Public School witnessed history as Ranveer Singh Saini, India’s celebrated Gold Medalist Special Olympian and Para-Golfer, officially inaugurated the Sunday Centre for Special Children.
This initiative by IB Sports Foundation is designed to provide a high-quality, inclusive environment for differently-abled children to learn basketball, build confidence, and experience the “Power of Play.”
Breaking Barriers with Ranveer Singh Saini
Ranveer’s journey from being an aspiring athlete to a National Awardee and Special Olympic champion served as the perfect backdrop for our launch. His presence reminded every student and parent that with determination, ability has no limits.
We were also privileged to host his mother, Mrs. Bakhtawar Saini, whose dedication to Ranveer’s path mirrors our Foundation’s belief in the power of supportive families.
Event Highlights
- The Inaugural Match: Our young athletes from the Sunday Centre took to the court for a friendly match, cheered on by Ranveer and coached by Ishwar Bhati.
- Special Guest - Vikram Rawat: We were honored to have Mr. Vikram from Special Olympics Bharat, reinforcing our commitment to the global movement of inclusion.
- Community Spirit: The students of Don Bosco Ashalayam delivered a moving performance, celebrating the unity and diverse talents within our community.
A New Chapter for IB Sports Foundation
As Coach Ishwar Bhati shared during the ceremony, “Every dribble and every pass carries the true spirit of resilience.” With Ranveer Singh Saini leading the way as an inspiration, the Sunday Centre is now open to every child who dreams of taking their shot.
Let’s champion inclusion together, on and off the court.
